Who Wants To Be The Editor At Vogue?

Clearly everyone. I think it's on the list of dreams jobs for fashionistas around the globe. Carina Roitfeld has announced she will be stepping down from her French Vogue editor in chief position at the the end of January. Possible replacements include the beautiful French Vogue fashion director Emmanuelle Alt, former Russian Vogue editor Aliona Doletskaya, and of course Japanese Vogue fashion director, Anna Dello Russo amongst others in the industry.
Apparently it has been speculated that Carina was going to team up with Tom Ford on his much talked about women's collection, but apparently this is not the case. She simply is ready to move on to other projects.

After reading some articles on the subject I came across some photos of Carina that look so similar to one of my favorite models of all time. What do you think?

Rumer Willis for Badgley Mischka

Announced today, Badgley Mischka has hired Rumer Willis for their Spring 2011 ad campaign.

"We adore Rumer, she is glamorous, youthful and fun...[she] captures the spirit of all our spring collections, especially our newly launched Mark+James collection." -Mark Badgley & James Mischka

I can't help to remember the ads this amazing design duo created with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen back in 2006. I actually remember the first time I saw it in one of the many fashion magazines laying around my apartment. The first image I saw was the one with the girls strutting down the hallway in their glamorous gowns with big, messy hair and Ashley with her bordeaux lipstick. Its one of those things that just gets me excited, motivated, interested, and happy all at the same time.

After seeing the other images, I knew I loved Badgley Mischka. Not to say I didn't appreciate their impecable work previous to the twins ads in 2006, but something about these photos still sticks out in my mind today. In my opinion, thats what makes a great ad campaign. We will see what Rumer can do in March 2011...

Thank you, Rumer. For reminding me of Badgley Mischka's 2006 ad campaign ultimately my inspiration for applying my bordeaux lipstick today. (Lipstick: Media by MAC cosmetics.)
